When and Where is the True Western Roundup?

This 2025 season True Western Roundup takes place at both the La Plata County Fairgrounds– 2500 Main Ave, Durango, CO 81301 & the Montezuma County Fairgrounds – 30100 US-160, Cortez, CO 81321.

Durango Dates:

  • Wednesday June 4 – Colorado Pro Rodeo Association (CPRA) at 6:30pm
  • Wednesday June 11 – Pro Rodeo Cowboys Assoc (PRCA) at 6:30pm
  • Wednesday June 18 – Open Rodeo at 6:30pm
  • Wednesday June 25 – Open Rodeo at 6:30pm
  • Wednesday July 2 – Open and PAFRA Rodeo at 6:30pm

Red, White and Bulls Patriotic Weekend

  • Friday July 4 – Professional Bull Riding at 7:00pm
  • Saturday July 5 – Bucking Bull Futurity at 9:30am
  • Saturday July 5 – Ultimate Bull Fighting at 7:00pm

  • Wednesday July 9 – Open Rodeo at 6:30pm
  • Wednesday July 16 – Cowgirls Kickin’ Cancer Women’s Rodeo at 6:30pm
  • Wednesday July 30 – Open Rodeo Championship Buckle at 6:30pm
  • Wednesday August 6 – Ranch Rodeo and Fair Games! at 6:30pm
  • Friday August 29 – Iron Horse Rodeo with Four Corners Motorcycle Rally at 6:30pm

Tickets can be purchased HERE Or at the gate the day of the rodeo. 

What Events Happen at True Western Roundup?

All events happen every night at the True Western Roundup! Saddle Bronc Riding, Ranch Bronc Riding, Breakaway Roping, Mutton Bustin, Steer Riding, Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Bull Riding. Any event may not be seen on a particular night for any reason, depending on the number of contestants who register. 

Is There Food at the Rodeo?

The True Western Roundup offers a variety of dinner, snack and beverage options for our guests to enjoy. BBQ, burgers, hotdogs, sub sandwiches, street tacos, kettle corn, ice cream, cotton candy, lemonade and more! Our Beverage Tent offers chilled Coca-Cola products, craft beer from Steamworks and traditional A&L Coors beer for anyone over 21 years old.
