Lodger's Tax Local Event Marketing Grant

The purpose of this grant is to support marketing expenses for local events that drive tourism and improve the quality of life in Durango. Funding is intended to help events reach wider audiences, attract visitors, and generate economic benefits for the community. The Local Event Marketing Grant (LEMG) program is funded by Durango’s lodgers’ tax, as approved by voters through the following ballot language of Resolution No. R-2022-37

 

2025 Round 3 Details: 

The Local Event Marketing Grant is now open for events taking place in January, February, March, or April 2026! We’ve listened to feedback from local event organizers and have improved the application process for Round 3 — making it quicker and easier to complete. 

Important Dates:

  • Application Opens: November 7th, 2025
  • ​Application Closes: December 7th, 2025
  • Award Notifications:  January 7th, 2026
  • Reimbursement Forms Due: June 7th, 2026
