Major National Retailer T.J. MAXX will open a new 24,000 sq.ft. store at the Durango Mall spring of 2012. The announcement about the well-known retail chain, which specializes in cutting-edge clothing and home fashions sold at discount prices, was made by Mall management August 10th.

T.J. MAXX will join other major Mall tenants: JC Penney, Bed Bath & Beyond, Pier 1 Imports, Sears, and Bealls. T.J. MAXX has more than 900 stores nationwide.

Durango Mall is excited about the addition of T.J. MAXX to the community and to the Mall. Over the years, the Mall has been asked by many people in the community to bring this store to Durango. T.J. MAXX offers a retailing concept that, until now, was unavailable locally. T.J. MAXX has new inventory delivered weekly and offers off-price brand name merchandise for the whole family. This store will create new jobs and add to tax revenues for the community. Durango Mall is thrilled to add this very popular retailer as part of its efforts to add new stores to serve our community's needs.

T.J. MAXX is a division of the TJX Companies, Inc a NYSE traded company based in Masschusetts that traces it history back to 1919. The first store operating under the T.J. MAXX name opened in 1976.
